Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Vice President of Investor Relations to lead our investor relations initiatives. This critical role will focus on developing and executing comprehensive strategies that communicate Skyward Specialty Insurance’s mission, vision, and financial performance to the investment community. As VP of Investor Relations, you will be tasked with strengthening relationships with investors, analysts, and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication aligned with our business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication: Collaborate with company executives to create and distribute strategic, value-driving investment messages, including news releases, board and investor meeting materials, and other internal and external communications.
  • Financial Reporting: Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to investors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and key stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to understand investor perceptions and share findings with executive leadership.
  • Investor Meetings and Events: Organize earnings calls, investor meetings, materials, and other events to effectively communicate our business strategy and performance.
  • Media and Communication: Appropriately advance the company’s financial narrative as a key contributor to quarterly earnings and other press releases, call scripts, internal and external presentations, as well as talking points and relevant Q&A.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or related fields, with proven experience in a leadership role within the insurance or financial services industry.  P&C Insurance experience is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive results.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in public speaking and presenting complex information clearly.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret market trends and data accurately.

Compensation & Benefits

 

The applicable base salary for this opportunity will be based on internal and external market data for similar positions and commensurate with experience.  The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.  In addition to the base salary, this opportunity will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
