Responsibilities

Summary

This position will provide support to the Surety Underwriting Team. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare GIA’s in Docusign, or manually when necessary. 
  • Pull credit in the Experian and Lexis/Nexis systems for individuals and businesses.
  • Save documents to the electronic underwriting files and ensure they are up to date (eSurety/IR).
  • Prepare financial statements either from emails, share drive or ImageRight for ingestion via AI. 
  • Manually input financials and WIP/CC’s for analysis in eSurety or other formats.
  • Engage directly with our agent bond CSR’s for bid/final bond info, and assist underwriters when they’re traveling, to keep our service level high.
  • Process billings as needed.
  • Interact with our Billings team and Producer Services for internal issues/discrepancies on premium billing, AP/RPs and changing agent contracts.
  • Send supply and job references as requested
  • Obtain and submit information as needed for agency appointments via SkyFlow
  • Update the bond log and close bonds based on information obtained from WIP/CC schedules, status inquiries, or per underwriter’s request and have the over/underruns processed
  • Update bid logs and bid results
  • Assist underwriters with information gathering through secretary of state and other on-line services. 
  • Participating on special projects and key initiative teams 
  • Review and approve items as received and within your designated LOA
  • Account & file maintenance as required (annual, biannual, quarterly, etc.)

Qualifications

Experience 

  • Surety experience required
  • Ability to work primarily in Central time zone hours

  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people daily, in person, via telephone and email.

Compensation & Benefits

 

The applicable base salary for this opportunity is $60000 - $75000.  The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.  In addition to the base salary, this opportunity may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
