This internship will be on our Accident & Health Accounting team that manages and oversees the financial activities related to the A&H Stop Loss Products offered by Skyward Specialty. This team ensures accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of all transactions involved for this division including Premium application, claims payments, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, and captives program support.

The intern will gain hands-on experience by working closely with each team member and engaging in tasks such as A/R premium application, A/P processing, monthly expense tracking, internal and external reporting, reconciliations, and monthly journal entries. This role provides comprehensive exposure to financial elements beyond standard accounting, including an in-depth look at our A&H Captive Insurance Program.

During the intern's first week in the Kennesaw office, they'll be introduced to the leadership team across the A&H division, including Underwriting, Claims, and Sales. After that, they will rotate through various job functions to get a comprehensive understanding of the department's operations. Additional details on our program:

• The program will be 10 weeks long, from 5/26/25-8/1/25.  
• The program will be on a "Hybrid" schedule with 2-3 Days per week in the Kennesaw, GA office.  
• The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.  We will also schedule a few after hours events to promote networking and camaraderie, as circumstances allow.
• You will have an assigned mentor who will guide your project(s) and your experience with Skyward for the summer.
• The summer will end with presentations by the interns to members of the company leadership team, as well as the other interns, to summarize their project(s) and learnings.

• Degree program either in Accounting or in Business with a concentration/focus on accounting.
• Students must be actively enrolled and on schedule to graduate after the fall semester of 2025 or the spring semester of 2026
• Cumulative GPA must be 3.0 or higher
• Students must have access to lodging in the internship location without company assistance
• Students must be permanently authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
