Responsibilities

 Summary

The Technical Business Analyst is a highly skilled and innovative role.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.  This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive scalability and deliver innovative solutions. This role is to understand the technical steps but also ensure the solution was aligned with business goals and provided tangible benefits to the organization. This role involves approaching problems with a holistic perspective, focusing not just on resolving the immediate issue but also on identifying sustainable and innovative ways to achieve long-term success.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Develop deep relationships across teams to identify opportunities where technology can be leveraged effectively.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • The key integrity of this role is to comprehensive requirements gathering, cross-functional collaboration, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
  • Promote a proactive environment by researching and recommending process and technology solutions for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to evaluate proposed technical solutions. When applicable, conduct solution research and manage vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for articulating value proposition in support of recommendations along with metrics to capture and measure business value derived.
  • Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements, discuss technical solutions, and gather feedback.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements documents, process flows, and technical design documents.
  • Demonstrate experience with projects, working with internal and external stakeholders, and the execution of project deliverables to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Ensure that technical solutions align with industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the industry, making recommendations for innovation and improvement.
  • Ability to perform support/tasks/projects in various stages of completion while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as defined by the supervisor

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong technical background with experience in business analysis.
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and leverage technology to deliver innovative solutions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with all levels in the company
  • Ability to translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements and functional design documents
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps, Power Automate and Power Apps a plus.

 

Qualifications, Education and Experience Preferred

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a technology role
  • 3+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst in P&C Insurance preferred
  • High level understanding of emerging technologies, LLM's, AI, etc. is strongly preferred
  • Experience in data analysis and modeling
  • Experience working in collaborative environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and lifecycle
  • Experience with software configurations

 

Compensation & Benefits

 

The applicable base salary for this opportunity is $100,00.00 - $125,000.00.  The base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.  In addition to the base salary, this opportunity may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
